Ron DeSantis seeks to ice Robert Mueller investigation of President Trump
Ron DeSantis is getting happy feet to leave the House again, claim those in the know.

Rep. Ron DeSantis, ahead of what many are expecting to be entry into the 2018 Florida Governor’s race, is looking to help out President Donald Trump — by putting a time limit onto Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller‘s investigation into the Trump campaign.

The DeSantis amendment: “None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to fund activities pursuant to Department of Justice order 3915-2017, dated May 17, 2017 and relating to the appointment of a special counsel, later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, or for the investigation under that order of matters occurring before June 2015.”

POLITICO notes this is one of hundreds of amendments to an omnibus spending bill to be taken up after recess, and there is no guarantee this makes it through committees into the bill at large.

As well, there is no guarantee that such a measure survives the Senate, where relationships have been frayed between President Trump and Republicans of various ideological stripes.

DeSantis, a Republican in his second term whose district runs from St. Johns County south to Volusia, has yet to file for re-election.

What a patriot! Protecting us from the Russians. DeSantis is a bigger joke than the guy he’s defending.

Im a Fl resident and I am embarrassed by this man actions, at this point, to be supportive of this administration tells me all I need to know about you.
Judging by your biography no amount of education or military service makes you an honorable responsible patriot.
The bill you are trying to introduce to stop funding to the Mueller investigation is an indication of your partisanship and arrogance.
Coming 2018 I will do everything in my power to make sure you don’t get reelected.

So, Leonard Blatvatnik from Russia contributes $5400 to Ron DeSantis campaign and he wants to shut down the investigation? Guess he has a little ol’ Russia problem of his own!

What’s clear is there is no end to how low republicans will debase themselves to defend a guy they know is mentally ill & shouldnt be POTUS

Born in Ukraine when it was a subset of the old Soviet Union, and now with American and British citizenship, Blavatnik is what is referred to as an oligarch. He’s straight out of Central Casting for a Putin-friendly, Russian-linked high roller.

Blavatnik is the type of guy of whom you simply do not ask how he made his first million.

Mr. DeSantis, as a resdient of Florida, I am ashamed of your action to obstruct justice in the Mueller investigation. We the voters will remember you whatever political office you pursue in future.
