The Governor’s Office announced Sunday night that Gov. Ron DeSantis will speak at a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event in Broward County.

He will attend and deliver remarks at an MLK Day “celebration event” at Piney Grove Boys Academy in Lauderdale Lakes. That’s at 7:30 a.m.

Later in the day, DeSantis will speak at a Unity Heritage Festival in Central Florida. That’s at noon, Shady Park at Hannibal Square, Winter Park.

Also, Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez had been scheduled to attend a breakfast hosted by the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project at the Miami Beach Convention Center, but that event was taken off her calendar earlier Monday.
