Jacksonville City Hall.

Familiar faces, new places.

As Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry begins his second term, some familiar faces will be seen in new places in City Hall.

Moving to the Neighborhoods Department from Intergovernmental Affairs: Chiquita Moore, who continues her steady rise from former campaign manager, then aide to Councilman Sam Newby.

Moore was nominated by Mayor Curry to be Operations Director in the Neighborhoods Department, moving from her current role as Intergovernmental Affairs Liaison.

City Council will have to approve Moore’s new role, which has led to a retooling in director Jordan Elsbury‘s Intergovernmental Affairs shop.

Moore entered local politics in 2015, but had an interesting and varied career before that.

For almost six years, she was a correctional Lieutenant/drill instructor for the Georgia Department of Corrections, a trial by fire that likely was instructive ahead of the cauldron of City Hall.

That role suited her for her next position: handling the customer “escalations” department for Citibank.

Moving to a deputy director role: LeeAnn Krieg, who like Moore had a liaison role previously.

Krieg was the longtime assistant to former Councilman Greg Anderson.

Another former Anderson aide, Palmer Kuder, joins the team as coordinator/assistant.

Moving to that liaison role is someone familiar with Tallahassee and the asks of the Mayor’s Office: former Rep. Jason Fischer aide Rachel Lockhart.

Lockhart, who also worked for Rep. Janet Adkins, and interned for Sen. Travis Hutson and the Jacksonville Chamber, joined the Curry administration in May, as coordinator/assistant.
