Republican State Reps. Paul Renner, of Palm Coast, and Bobby Payne, of Palatka, will host St. Johns River Forum on Monday.
The goal of the forum is to “discuss issues of importance for the St. Johns River and other Northeast Florida waterways with local and state leaders,” according to a news release.
Among the notable attendees is Noah Valenstein who is the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Secretary.
He will be joined by state and local politicians and various members of the St. Johns River Water Management District, St. Johns River State College and the Florida Chamber of Commerce to address issues directly impacting St. Johns River.
The Forum is open to the public and offers a unique opportunity for constituents with concerns for Northeast Florida waterways to speak directly with some of their legislators and other local leaders of influence.

The FREE THE OCKLAWAHA RIVER BY THE BREACHING OF RODMAN DAM online SIGN-FOR-FREE-$$$ petition is now 38 months old!
And thanks to JENNY CARR this petition now has 2,652 supporters who favor the restoration of a free-&-swift-flowing-again 56-mile Silver River – Ocklawaha River system by the breaching of Rodman (Kilpatrick) Dam.
But we need all the public support that we can muster FOR-FREE-$$$ for Ocklawaha River restoration.

Freeing the Ocklawaha River will help reduce the amount of herbicides pumped into the Ocklawaha River to reduce choking weeds that are accumulating due to a river that is not free flowing because of the Rodman dam…breach the Rodman dam and let’s get on with a free-flowing Ocklawaha River to help the St. Johns River to be more healthy and to help the Silver River and the manatees freely flow as well.
