Dear Joe Biden: It’s time to drop out of the presidential race

Biden 1
Walk, before they make you run.

Dear Joe Biden,

Your closest friends and family aren’t telling you this. Your trusted supporters are probably afraid to be straight with you. And, for certain, your paid advisers certainly don’t want to get off the campaign gravy train so soon.

But since I am none of those, I’m going to give it to you straight.

Get out now.

Mr. Vice President, you have served our nation with distinction for a very long time. Heck, you were in the U.S. Senate before Richard Nixon was impeached more than 45 years ago. And in case you or your team has forgotten, this is your 4th attempt at the brass ring and it’s looking like Groundhog Day for you once again.

It’s time to bow out with the same grace and dignity with which you have served.

Look at the facts. You didn’t just lose Iowa, you were shellacked. You were supposed to give U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders a run for his money in New Hampshire, but you not only were forced to cede defeat days out, you ended up in a distant fifth place. Fifth! Not to dwell too much on that, but you received less than half the votes of the little-known Senator from Minnesota who came in third.

And now your numbers in Nevada are beginning to cave which, at this stage, surprises exactly no one.

And so now you are putting your hope in the South Carolina comeback?

Recall, Joe, that your message, nay your underlying rationale, for why Democratic primary voters should support you was your electability. Forgetting for a moment that one running on an “electability” theme should win elections, the fact that the you are hoping for a win because South Carolina has more than 60% African American voters is the opposite of an “electability” message.

There is no doubt that black voters are an important bloc in the Democratic primary and a vital part of our republic, but in order to beat Donald Trump come November, you simply must extend your base well beyond African Americans.

Further, new polls not only show you on a steady downhill slide, not even Democrats believe anymore that you are the most electable (that honor now goes to Sanders by a comfortable 10-point margin.)

As losses begin to pile up, your polling numbers dip and your electability drops, you have become the spoiler.

In looking at the recent results, the moderate wing of your beloved party is well above 50% and Sanders is holding steady above 25% but never above 30% which means that every vote cast for you is one less vote cast for someone who is not a self-admitted Democratic Socialist. As you don’t seem to be able to raise the kind of cash that Sanders can nor write the checks like Mike Bloomberg, you are officially a spoiler.

Mr. Vice President, you are better than that.

Though I am neither your close friend nor one of your paid advisers, I am saying the very thing that they — along with many Democrats — are thinking but are hesitant to say to you directly.

Please, sir, get out now, unite your party, and help put forth a candidate who hails from the center of your party, or at least not the far far left.

Go out with your head held high, sir. You have so much to be proud of and have served this country with dignity. It’s time to exit with that dignity or, as they say, “walk, before they make you run.”

Where are you seeing his Nevada numbers implode??? He is holding on to a strong 2nd place position in Nevada and just picked up the endorsement of Nevada’s Lieutenant Governor, as well as the only black member of Congress from Nevada. It seems pretty clear that this week will be the beginning of the #BidenBounceBack!

The most recent poll Data for progress has Biden in 4th place. Sanders is 35%, Warren 16%, Buttigieg 15% and Biden 14%.

This is surprising considering 2016, and a larger Hispanic vote (and that catholic electorate is more tilted towards social justice)

Yep, and not just for him. Tom Carper & the entire state of Delaware. Who was quietly the epicenter of the Biden financial crises. Even if by some miracle he wins the primary, Trump will crucify Biden with his voting record over the last 30 years. The “whitewash” will be over. There will be no where to hide. Of the three megalomaniacs running he has by far the worst paper trail. Which is why it is so hard for a long serving senator to become president. Obama missed out on most of the worst decisions Biden made as a senator. But right there to help cover them up as President.

As a former life long Republican and conservative, I support Amy Kloubacher. She has shown willingness to not abandon her principles but to listen to our ideas openly and keep the tent open to accept us at the table. I’d love to see Biden drop out and endorse her, promising to be a close adviser. What should have happened in the GOP primary with JEB/his backers and Rubio.

Democrats are corrupt and are poisonous to taxpayers and their families. Be it Joe Biden, Sanders, Bloomberg, Pete or Elizabeth Warren. They all follow the left’s radical hyena’s of Nancy Pelosi, Sheila Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters, Al Green, AOC, Rashida Talib, Ayanna Pressley, llhan Omar, Val Deming, and Hakeem Jeffries.

If you vote Democrat, this is what you’ll get….

    Democrat Goals & Platform:

    -Sanctuary Cities & States..

-Decriminalize illegal entry into our country.

    -De-fund & terminate Border Patrol & ICE.

-End all deportations of illegal aliens (if you get here, you stay.)

    -Drivers licenses for illegal aliens.

    -Voting rights for illegal aliens.

-Late term abortions up to 9 months.

-Opposed to ANY voter ID Laws.

    -Weaken our Military.

-Destruction of all private health care (Bernie Sanders & Elizabeth Warren)

    -The Green new deal.

-Free medicare care for all including illegal aliens (taxpayer funded with a 52 trillion price tag)

-Free college for all, including illegal aliens. (tax payer funded) Sanders-Warren

    -Disarming Americans.

-Non citizens allowed to hold public office.

    -Socialism.

-Citizenship for millions of illegal aliens & TPS.

    -Reparations.

    -Massive tax increases.

    -Open Borders.

-Welfare & Food Stamps for illegal aliens. (Warren/Sanders)

As compared to the republican controlled senate and the republican president who have passed tax laws that blew up the deficit , which is now 22 trillion . Or the do nothing senate that covers Up for this wanna be dictator president.
You don’t like the Democrats then burn your social security check when it’s mailed to you every month, give up your Medicare when you get older and buy your own unaffordable health insurance. Oh and when the banks and financial institutions crash and ruin million of lives like in 2008 make sure the government does not save their asses again so we can all get back on bread lines and it can be 1929 all over again.

Need an honest discussion about health & insurance. Insurance is supposed to spread risk, not concentrate it on the state & federal governments. Or have policy holders interest that are opposite of share holders. We have a self inflicted health epidemic and the only way to stem the tide is a tax at the source that pays into Medicare. People need to pay for poor health choices up front, polluters as well. Can’t expect others to pay for poor health choices. ACA is completely broken. Takes money away from practitioners and gives it to united health. 35k for two people and can’t afford a family practitioner that wants an additional 2k per person. So much for keeping my doctor. Thanks Joe..

Sir, it is clear you have not even bothered to read the actual platforms of the candidates. It is also clear you have not bothered to look at polls on the issues (NOT candidates) which have been taken over the past several years. The fact is, the majority of Americans agree with the proposals put forth by the candidates. Finally, if you look at recent polls on the wealth tax, an overwhelming majority of Americans – including Republicans – are in favor of it; there’s been extensive coverage of Warren’s version of wealth tax in particular (2 cents on every dollar an individual makes over $50 million, it covers all the social programs and more) and Wall Street backs it, just google it. Yes, free speech, including expressing one’s personal opinion is a right in our country, BUT your opinions have a lot more influence if they are backed by actual facts.

Frank, exactly. People do not realize how bad this country will become if a liberal progressive Democrat gets in office. Say goodbye to the world as you know it. Picture yourself living in a 3rd world, totally government run, country. We and our country probably would never recover. Our constitution sure wouldn’t. They (the left) have been wanting to destroy it or totally replace it for years now. People need to be scared, very scared if one of these candidates get into power. You may not like Trump but believe me, you will REALLY not like the new leftist liberal Democrat either. And the first thing they say they will do is repeal the tax codes to much higher percentages to pay for all their “free” programs. If you have any kind of savings, you better be putting cash in a box. And I’m not kidding.

Wake up wing nuts both right and left this guy is a media hack. He is delivering to you the opinions of the corporations who advertise through his networks. Question. Who advertises on TV year round even when its not an election year..? Drug companies and Health insurance Companies. They have the most to lose if a Democrat takes office. If it is Joe Biden then Obama care will expand and out compete the organized criminals in the market like United Sick Care. Drug companies will get rolled over no matter which one of our highly qualified candidates takes the Oval Office.

If Joe Biden takes office we can get right back to where we left off with the Obama Biden Dynasty. We were poised to respond to the inequities that lie beneath the surface all over America. The only thing that the right seems to care about is the rights of my sperm to live. They don’t care about his right to be free of gun violence. They don’t care if he dies at the hands of the police because he is not their son. They accept this senseless number of citizens dying at the hands of the police because the police make THEM feel safe. They want everyone to have the right to bear arms because it makes them FEEL Safe. So I guess right wingers do have feelings. The need to feel safe.

So how can you be so cruel to the masses that come here for a Chance to be Free and Safe. What the right wants is not freedom. Freedom is what Liberals have that Conservatives wish they had. We are free to think and will arrive at the best conclusion based on facts not belief or blind faith. We uphold in the fundamental right to BE FREE. That means little or NO incarceration. What we must DEFUND is PLANNED PRISONHOOD. Murder and violent crime have a place in the prison system. Drug crime without violence is not worth wasting the resources on.

Liberty and Obamacare for All who want it! Get rid of the requirement that we take our employer’s lousy plan and let us all have access to the Obama Care Option.

At the end of the decade there will be few players left in the market because Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare and Federal Plans like BlueCross Federal for Postal and Government employees are honest players in the marketplace. They are Federally funded and they pay their bills to the doctors and hospitals that serve the citizens of this great nation. The private sector plans collect premiums and then deny payment for services. Then at the end of the year since they collected so much in premiums and payed out so little in claims they are paying themselves obscene salaries and bonuses.

We fight for the freedom of all women to govern their own bodies. We even fight for your women that you seek to oppress. They are Americans after all and should take comfort from the freedom that the constitution affords them.

And for our children you have the right to not only live, not only be free, but to pursue happiness with anyone you choose.

We are the left, they are the right. If we must, we will leave them behind. Don’t worry they will catch up.

Joe I am counting on you to get this ship back on course.

I agree. Rubio/Bush/Cruz have only themselves fo blame for Trump’s takeover of the Republican Party. None of them got out in time to stop Trump’s plurality from capturing the nomination. Biden for sure should get out soon and Pete B as well. Let the moderate vote consolidate for Bloomberg who is an experienced leader with executive experience in both the private and public sector, a strong supporter of Democratic policy priorities, a strong team, and the financial resources to beat Trump. We need to win the general election and Bernie would be a disaster.

Biden should not drop out. What matters most is who can win in toss up states in the general election. Polls say Biden can. At this point it doesn’t look like Klobachar, Warren or Buttigieg can.

Susan Cole I have read a couple of your fear mongering posts over the past few days and have come to the conclusion that you are not well informed. You spent the first day trashing Democrats and predicting third world scenarios and suggested we put cash in a box. Then the next day you are plugging a candidate for the Democratic nomination that showed himself to be out of touch with where American Democratic voters are in respect to women’s rights to speak out against their abusers rather than see them take the highest office. That is Trump 2.0
We don’t need that mayor’s financial resources to win against Trump we just need the votes of our previously assembled majority that gave us 8 years of peace and prosperity and gave Trump an America that was already Greater Again before he ever took office. Thanks to Barrack and Joe. Campaign Finance Reform is a necessity. Then Joe could focus on solving the problems not yet addressed and decide how to put his years of experience in public service to work for us. We must remove donald from office before he manufactures a crisis that tanks the markets. He and his cronies have their eyes on your 401 K. They tried drone assassination they fan the fears of Pandemics. I remember the last Pandemic Drill under Bush the little one. Rumsfeld and cronies made stacks off Tamiflu while you were burying cash in a box in your yard.
