Rick Scott calls on Americans to boycott China
Sen. Rick Scott is no fan of Joe Biden.

Rick Scott
Scott said the Chinese Communist government lies, cheats, and steals.

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott has been among the most hardline in the Senate on the China question, and as time goes on, he hasn’t mellowed.

On a radio show Monday, the first-term Republican from Naples made the case that Americans should boycott products from Communist China.

“No American should ever buy one product ever made from communist China. They are not our friend. They’re not a competitor. They’re clearly an adversary,” Scott told host Guy Benson on the Fox News radio network.

“We should buy American products. It’s going to help American jobs. But we need to understand what communist China is. It is run by the Communist Party. They act in the best interest of the Communist Party. They steal our jobs. They steal our technology,” Scott said.

The Senator was in the private sector long before he entered politics, and he pointed to his experience there to delineate the ruthlessness of the Chinese Communist regime.

“I’m a business guy, loved to compete,” Scott said. “These guys are out to lie, cheat and steal to win.”

The Senator spotlighted China as an adversary long before the advent of the novel coronavirus. However, this crisis clearly has only reinforced his thinking.

“Communist China. It’s run by the Communist Party of China. They do all this all the time. Everything they do is for the benefit of the Communist Party of China. And nobody else,” Scott said, adding that China getting a COVID-19 “vaccine first” would not be “good for the country or for the world.”

“Because you know what? They’re not going to share. I mean, they’re going to take care of one group of people. The Communist Party of communist China. So I know. So whether an intelligence agency put that information out as possible, would I believe that that’s what they’re doing every day? Yes. Because they steal our jobs. They steal our technology. They weren’t transparent. They’ve infiltrated things like the W.H.O. to make sure they’re not a World Health Organization. They’re here,” Scott said.

The Senator, weeks back, called for an investigation into the World Health Organization. Clearly nothing has happened to change his mind.

How the heck do Americans boycott China when most of the products we buy are made there? Try to find US made goods. Go ahead. I dare you. You won’t find much of it in Walmart, Target, etc. These are empty words from Scott just to make some noise in support of the prez’s conspiracy theories.

Clearly speaking to an audience of one.

Actually an audience of at least 2. As a British citizen where possible I will be seeking out and buying products made a) in the UK b) Europe or USA / Canada c) Asia (excluding China). It may cost me more, but why the world is selling it’s soul to such an evil (and I use the word advisedly) regime as the Communist Party of China is beyond me. I had never heard of Rick Scott until now, but he is correct in all he says regarding China.

    Thanks Rick,

Sounds like the previous comments are from our Chinese infiltrators trying to undermine a good idea. Screw China and it’s deals. They are buying our country right out from under us. Stealing our ideas, breaking into our computer’s, sending their spies over to go to our best colleges and then having them return to use that knowledge against us. Or their being hired by our most advanced research companies where they can steal those ideas and send them back to their comrades. They threaten all of the Pacific Rim with new airfields and military bases. They are not our friend. They are buying up the meat packing companies and diverting our food to their country. You compete with the Chinese when you go grocery shopping. Food prices are going up because we compete with the Chinese on food costs. They have had more viruses manifest themselves in that country in the last 20 years than in all the history of human kind. They are trying to create viruses in Wuhan to wipe out our country and anyone who is an opponent to their long range goals. They were never a friend of ours during the Viet Nam war and supplied the North with Weapons, food and money. They are the enemy and anyone who thinks they are our friend is a fool. Why are we doing business with a Communist Country who’s goal is to turn us into a third world country. We don’t do business with Russia nor Cuba but for some reason we do business with China. Not only that they are the leading cause of the pollution of the World with the worst cities in the world and do very little to clean up the mess they make. This absurdity has to stop. We are being played the fools of the world. I agree with Rick on all his points.

Has he thought this through? If we immediately did this, Walmart, one of our largest employers, and Amazon, another large employer would have to lay off hundreds of thousands of workers. If you are looking to ignite a world wide depression, go with Ricky’s harebrained plan. When does the litany of suck-ups quit parroting Trump’s re-election ploy (blame China, take no responsibility for our own actions) end?

We’re doing a bathroom renovation. We went out of our way to make sure we had zero Chinese products. Buying from China is paying for the bullets or virus they’ll kill us with.

I’ve been boycotting Chinese products for seven years.

After visiting China in 2013, I was shocked and mortified by the lack of human rights, the treatment of Tibet and Taiwan, and the level of censorship within the country. I saw them as a threat back then, and more so today. If anything out of the panademic is positive, it’s shown China’s true colours.

Avoiding Chinese made products can be a challenge. Almost anything from Walmart or Target is a no-go. I’ve either had to pay more or do without. But, it has also been surprising how some items, like clothes, phones, and TV’s, how many options there are.

To be upfront, buying strictly American is nearly impossible. My cars are American made, but smaller items are outsourced. But it’s all an opportunity to help our close allies, like South Korea or Japan.

The fact that some of you are saying it’s impossible to avoid Chinese products reflects on what a grasp they have on us

I agree with Rick Scott. I care too much about freedom to support Communist China. I am trying hard to avoid buying items made in Communist China. I am trying hard to source products made in the USA, and delaying purchases as long as possible in those cases where I cannot find products that are not made in Communist China. If we all vote with our dollars, we can make a difference.
