Marco Rubio
Does the President need sensitivity training?

Florida’s senior Senator took to social media Thursday to demand that the President of the United States apologize for comparing political opponents to “neanderthals.”

Sen. Marco Rubio tut-tutted on Twitter that President Joe Biden‘s nattering about Neanderthals perpetuated an old stereotype and proved unconscious bias and the need for reeducation.

President Biden’s use of an old stereotype is hurtful to modern Europeans, Asians & Americans who inherit about 2% of their genes from Neanderthal ancestors. He should apologize for his insensitive comments and seek training on unconscious bias,” Rubio said.

President Biden used the purported pejorative earlier this week, in comments condemning Republican governors who he believes broke with mask orders and other Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

“The last thing — the last thing — we need is the Neanderthal thinking that in the meantime, everything’s fine, take off your mask. Forget it. It still matters,” Biden told reporters at the White House.

While the push for ideological reeducation of the President is a new one for Rubio, the idea that President Biden is old and out of touch, enfeebled and ineffectual, is a recurrent theme for the second-term Senator who is in a reelection campaign next year.

During an appearance on Fox News Tuesday, Rubio suggested that leaders, such as Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador might size the new American President up as vulnerable.

“They’re going to make their own assessments of what they think they can get away with. Are they dealing with a weak leader? Are they dealing with someone who doesn’t really have control of the situation,” Rubio contended, during a segment with host Sean Hannity.

Rubio has also previously suggested that the Delaware Democrat suffered from “memory loss.”

Republicans continue to push the idea that Biden is infirm, old, and out of touch, and even offhand comments, as Rubio’s gambit shows, are grist for the mill.

Marco Rubio wants to hurt Americans. As part of the Republican “NO” cult he wants to defeat President Biden more than he wants the serious problems left by Trump to be fixed. Shame on Rubio and his fellow cult members who don’t listen to the science about COVID-19 to keep Americans safe by wearing masks, washing hands, keeping a 6 foot or more distance and keeping large gatherings inside bars, restaurants and other venues to hosting a safe number. Rubio is delaying by his impatience the full opening of the American economy. Tell Rubio to stop his childish actions and do what will help COVID-19 be eliminated.
