time to give

Whip out those checkbooks, Tallahassee lobbyists and PAC chairs, as the week kicks off with a handful of legislative re-election fundraisers.

This will be the last full week of fundraisers for a while, as Florida law prohibits legislators raising campaign cash during session, which begins Tuesday, March 3.

On Tuesday, Jeb Bush brings his all-but-certain presidential campaign to Tampa Bay, in the form of a high-profile fundraiser supporting the Right to Rise Super PAC. The $1,000-a-ticket event is set for Tuesday at the Grand Hyatt, 2900 Bayport Drive. The VIP Reception begins at 5 p.m.; general reception starts at 5:30 p.m.
