Round 2 in bigamy hearing for Alan Grayson

Rep. Alan Grayson

U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson is trying again to convince a judge that his 24-year marriage to his wife should be voided because she was married to another man when they wed.

The outspoken Democratic congressman from Orlando was back in a Florida courtroom Tuesday to continue his bigamy claim against his wife.

A hearing on the matter was held last month, but it was continued so lawyers could have more time to prepare.

Lolita Grayson says she was divorced from her first husband when she married Alan Grayson in 1990.

If the Graysons’ marriage is annulled, Alan Grayson would avoid having the court divide personal property or decide whether he owes Lolita Grayson alimony as part of their divorce.

Lolita Grayson puts her husband’s worth at $31 million.
