Surterra is readying for the grand opening at its newest location in Miami. The dispensary will be the 24th Surterra Wellness Center in the state.
The store will be located at 6647 South Dixie Highway in Miami’s Dadeland area. A release from the company says the grand opening is scheduled for Thursday morning and will run from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
That release also says local government officials, medical marijuana advocates and others will be in attendance Thursday. The newest Surterra store will be the company’s second in Miami-Dade County, joining its Miami Beach location.
According to the company’s numbers, Surterra currently operates 300,000 square feet of canopy throughout the state and has contracts to grow to over 500,000 square feet of cultivation by the middle of 2019.
The Dadeland location will feature kitchen and garden areas as well. In addition to Florida, Surterra currently operates in Texas and Nevada, with plans to expand to Massachusetts as well.
Surterra and Trulieve are the two largest medical marijuana companies inside the Sunshine State.
