Gov. Ron DeSantis has ordered flags at half-staff on Memorial Day.

On Friday, the Governor’s Office released a statement and a proclamation (below).

The order came “as a mark of respect for all fallen heroes of our Armed Forces who have bravely sacrificed their lives to protect and defend the citizens of this great country, and to commemorate Memorial Day,” the Governor said in a statement.

“I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout the State of Florida from sunrise until noon on Monday, May 27.”
