Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday announced the appointments of Stacy Youmans to the 5th Judicial Circuit Court and Jeffrey Hendriks to the St. Lucie County Court.
Youmans, of Ocala, has been a partner at Blanchard, Merriam, Adel & Kirkland since 2008. She previously served as a prosecutor for the 5th Circuit State Attorney’s Office. The circuit comprises Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, and Sumter counties.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from Mercer University.
Youmans fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Willard Pope.
Hendriks, of Port St. Lucie, is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and has been a major crimes prosecutor for the 19th Circuit State Attorney’s Office since 2016. As an Assistant State Attorney, he previously served as a felony division supervisor.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and his law degree from Stetson University.
Hendriks fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Phillip Yacucci.
