A new advertising campaign highlighting how busy families can make healthy meals with Florida fresh agriculture will kick off statewide beginning Monday.
Three 30-second spots, produced by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, promotes the state’s “Fresh From Florida” brand of produce and seafood.
Each ad features fresh and wholesome recipes with a distinctive Florida flair.
Chef Justin Timineri, Florida’s Culinary Ambassador, developed the three dishes:
- Tomato and Sweet Bell Pepper Flatbread
- Blueberry Pancakes with Honey Butter
- Seafood Delight with Shrimp and Clams
“Florida produces some of the best fruits, vegetables and seafood in the world,” said Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam. “This advertising campaign shows there are many ways to cook quick and easy meals with fresh Florida ingredients.”
The first of the ads, available in English and Spanish, show how fresh, healthy meals can be a part of family dinners, even on busy nights. A fourth ad spot, to promote Florida-grown plants in a home or garden, will begin running later.
Starting Monday, the ads can be seen in all of Florida’s 10 media markets: Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Panama City.
The spots are scheduled to run during a number of shows throughout the day: The Today Show, Good Morning America, Rachael Ray, Jeopardy, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, The Good Wife, NCIS, Scandal, The Voice and the Academy Awards, as well as on The Food Network, HGTV, Lifetime, OWN and the Travel Channel.
