Hillary Clinton holds a slight lead over Marco Rubio & Jeb Bush in new Q Florida poll

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton leads Marco Rubio by three percentage points (47-44) and Jeb Bush by four points (46-42) in a new Quinnipiac survey of Florida voters released Wednesday morning.

The poll shows that Clinton leads Rand Paul by nine points (46-37), and every other Republican presidential candidate by double-digits in Florida.

But Clinton suffers in Florida when it comes to being considered honest and trust-worthy.

By a 51-43 percent margin, Florida voters say Clinton is not honest. But by a 61-37 percent margin, Floridians believe she is a strong leader. She gets a divided 48-46 percent on caring for voters’ needs and problems.

By a 50-34 percent margin, Florida voters say Rubio is honest and trustworthy; 52-33 percent say he has strong leadership qualities, and 53-37 percent say that he cares about their needs and problems.

Jeb Bush scores 52-36 percent on being honest, 62-29 percent say he is a strong leader, and 48-43 percent say he care for voters’ needs and problems.

“Secretary Clinton continues to out-poll most major Republican wannabees in the Sunshine State,” says Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac Poll. “She holds her own when matched against the GOP’s two native sons, former Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio. The margin stems from her ability to keep the gender gap running in her favor. She holds low double digit leads among women when matched against either man and that is enough to make the difference.”

From June 4-15, Quinnipiac University surveyed Florida voters with a margin of error of +/-3 percentage points.
