Bill Day’s latest: With Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly “That’s not all, folks”

BILL DAY PORKY TRUMP

If anything can be said about the GOP race so far, it’s this: Donald Trump pulls no punches, nor does he regret any punches already thrown.

Regardless of whom he batters.

The real-estate billionaire and former reality television star is refusing to back down from negative comments made toward FOX News anchor Megyn Kelly. Or, for that matter, any of the other women he has called “’slobs, dogs and pigs” over the years.

And, according to the latest from political cartoonist Bill Day – with a tip of the hat to Porky Pig – “That’s not all, folks.”

Trump actually believes he was the one wronged, telling MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Kelly should seek forgiveness for asking “stupid” and “unfair” questions last week during the GOP debate in Cleveland.

“She should really be apologizing to me, you want to know the truth,” Trump said. “And other candidates have said that.”

About that night …

“You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals,” Kelly asked Trump during the debate. “Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?”

Trump shot back, not with an answer, but an applause line.

“I think the big problem this country has, is being politically correct,” he howled.

That might not be the only problem here. Oink!

For her part, Kelly is remaining just as resolute as Trump. She also refuses to apologize.

“Apparently Mr. Trump thought the question was unfair and I was attacking him,” Kelly told her Kelly File viewers on Monday. “I felt he was asked a tough but fair question. We agree to disagree.”

As Trump continues to lead in recent polling, he stands firmly behind later comments saying that Kelly attacked him with “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”

That veiled reference to menstruation made opponents (and a few Republicans) squeal like a stuck … well, you get the picture.

“I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism,” Kelly responded.

Good journalism notwithstanding, the whole incident between Trump, Kelly, and half the world’s population seems more than a little bit porcine.
