fi$cherThe breakout star of the NE Florida State House field for 2016, in terms of fundraising, has been current Duval County School Board member Jason Fischer. The Southside Jacksonville Republican, running against former Republican legislator and Jacksonville City Councilman Dick Kravitz, has amassed an almost 5 to 1 fundraising advantage, pending September numbers from both campaigns.

Fischer isn’t slowing down when it comes to fundraising, if his Happy Hour event on Wednesday at the Governors Club is any indication.

The host committee features a who’s who of Jacksonville Republicans, including Representatives Jay Fant, Paul Renner, and Lake Ray, the chair of the Duval GOP.

As well, NE Florida Senators Rob Bradley, Travis Cummings, and Travis Hutson feature.

Fischer, one of the savviest local politicians of his generation, has all the right friends, and, yet again, is putting Kravitz and any other potential challengers on notice.
