A fundraiser in St. Petersburg is one of two stops in Florida for a high-profile Hillary Clinton surrogate.

Chelsea Clinton is expected to attend two fundraisers in Florida on Jan. 29. The events in St. Petersburg and Fort Lauderdale come about seven weeks before the Florida’s March 15 primary.

The St. Petersburg event will be held at the home of Kathy and Joe Saunders, according to an email from the campaign. The event costs $250 to attend or $1,000 to co-host and get a photo with Chelsea Clinton.

The Fort Lauderdale event is being dubbed as an “evening with Chelsea,” and tickets start at $500. It costs $1,000 to co-host, and $2,700 — the most an individual can give to a candidate’s campaign per election cycle — to host, which includes an invitation to a future event with either Hillary Clinton or former President Bill Clinton.

Chelsea Clinton is expected to play a larger role in her mother’s 2016 presidential campaign. According to a Dec. 15 report on Time, Chelsea Clinton is scheduled to headline campaign fundraisers in Boston in early January before hitting the road to do campaign events in Iowa, New Hampshire and other early voting states.

Mitch Ceasar, a Democratic National Committee member from Broward County who is also a member of Hillary Clinton’s Florida Leadership Council, said Chelsea Clinton can connect to several generations of voters.

“I think the fact that people watched her grow up, she now married and a young mom, and that identifies universally across the board,” he said.

Hillary Clinton is leading the pack in national polls. She’s also polling ahead of rival Sen. Bernie Sanders in Iowa; but lags behind Sanders in New Hampshire, according to polling aggregation site RealClearPolitics.
