Email insights: FSU’s SDS chapter plans Donald Trump Piñata Bash

The FSU chapter of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) says it’s hosting an event where students can smash Donald Trump piñatas “in protest of the racism and hatred shown in his presidential campaign.”

“The policies of Trump that will be protested include: militarizing and building a wall on the US-Mexico border, banning Muslims from entering the country, protecting police officers who have killed or used brutality against black people, and bombing Iraq and Syria,” organizer Zachary Schultz writes in an email to supporters and media outlets.

Beyond Trump, SDS says it’s also protesting Joe Gruters, Trump’s Florida campaign co-chairman. The FSU chapter of SDS “condemns the presence of Gruters on the FSU Board of Trustees, where he chairs the Finance committee, and we demand his immediate resignation.”

The Donald Trump Piñata Bash is set for 1 p.n. Wednesday at the campus Free Speech Zone (the email considerately explains that such zone is in between Oglesby Union and the HCB building, but does not comment on the cauldron that campus free speech zones have become recently.)

I plan to vote for you Mr. Trump, but I feel you need to answer in the debate that YOU plan to hire the BEST People to advise you just have you had in business. It seems the competition says you have NO foreign affairs expertise so counter with you don’t need any you will seek advice from the generals etc. that are paid to supply this information and you will make your decision accordingly. Much better than Obama who doesn’t listen to anybody.
