Leslie Dougher falls further behind in HD 19 cash dash
Leslie Dougher is running again.

Leslie-Dougher

The HD 19 money race continues to go badly for former RPOF chairwoman Leslie Dougher. She’s in a distant third place after February’s numbers.

About $6,136 of February money brings Dougher up to $48,912 total money raised, leaving her with just over $26,500 cash on hand. That compares unfavorably to her Clay County rival, Katherine Van Zant, who has about $91,000 on hand, even after a month of modest fundraising ($3,557).

It’s clear there’s one Clay County candidate getting traction, and she’s Van Zant, not Dougher, notable since Dougher is still Clay GOP chairwoman.

Faring better than Dougher is Palatka’s Bobby Payne, who had the best February of the three candidates: $10,650 came in to take his total cash raised to $62,575, leaving his campaign with over $54,000 on hand.

Most of Payne’s money came from the Palatka area. A notable outlier to that trend was a max contribution from Ronald Book.
