It may be difficult to believe, considering all the media coverage, but the 2015 Jacksonville General Unitary election cycle is so much more than just the mayor’s race.
Republican Jacksonville City Council candidate Anna Brosche released the first in a new online video series for her campaign for At-Large Group 1. Brosche faces Republican David Taylor, Democrats Kimberly Daniels and Terry Reed in the election set for May 19.
“I’m Choosing Anna” is a weekly video release featuring different members of the community discussing why they have opted to support Brosche. Videos will be available on both the website and the campaign’s Facebook page.
The inaugural video features Pegine Echevarria, CEO of Team Pegine Inc., a company named No. 3 of the 50 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in North Florida for 2013.
Echevarria has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, HR Magazine, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, as well as NPR Fresh Air, CNN and Univision affiliates. She was featured in Speaker Magazine, Latina Magazine, Convention Magazine, and Advantage Business Magazine.
Brosche’s campaign will release a second video in Spanish this week.
The Jacksonville native says “I’m Choosing Anna” is an opportunity for voters to learn through others’ experiences.
“I am humbled by all of the community support and look forward to continuing to spread our message regarding job creation, developing our workforce, and fiscal responsibility to every corner of Jacksonville,” she said in a statement.
Brosche is managing shareholder at Ennis Pellum & Associates, CPAs and is the daughter of a Filipino who joined the U.S. Navy and eventually gained U.S. citizenship. In her career, Brosche served as a board member of the JAX Chamber, JAX Chamber Foundation, and as Advisory Board chair for the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center.
On top of leading the race with more than $150K in fundraising, Brosche has also earned the endorsement of JAXBIZ, Northeast Florida Builders Association, the Florida First Coast Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, NAIOP of Northeast Florida and the North Florida Central Labor Council and affiliates.
“I’m Choosing Anna” videos can be viewed on her campaign website.
