Seems that Gerald Bailey doesn’t want to talk any more about this whole darned mess.
Bailey made a set of allegations to the Tampa Bay Times/Miami Herald in the last week including that he was asked by the Scott administration officials to falsely name the Orange County clerks of courts as a target in a criminal investigation into how two convicts obtained false documents in order to escape prison. Some of the other allegations included that the FDLE was asked to transport campaign staff during Scott’s re-election campaign.
But now he’s telling reporters, like he told Garin Flowers of WTSP 10 News today, that he doesn’t want to answer any more questions and that he is moving on to other things.
Sorry Mr. Bailey, you can’t un-ring the bell. You brought it up. You began this discussion. You lit this fire.
You can’t just decide you are kind of above it all and, as you say, “move on to other things.”
This is your media fire. You started it. Either stoke it or stamp it out.
