Barbara Bush is asserting the right to change her mind.

Fox News reports on a new fundraising email where the former first lady is pitching for her son, former Gov. Jeb Bush, as he moves closer to a 2016 White House run.

With the subject line “I changed my mind!” the Bush matriarch officially launches the “Run Jeb Run” fund in an announcement on Wednesday to supporters of Jeb’s Right to Rise super PAC.

Jeb is “our best chance of taking back the White House in 2016,” the email said.

In 2013, Barbara Bush made waves when she told reporters, “there are other people out there that are very qualified and we’ve had enough Bushes.”

Now, she is backing away from those earlier comments, declaring she “changed her mind” during a Skype appearance at a recent Florida literacy event.
