Jennifer Krell Davis is leaving the Florida Ports Council to rejoin The Florida Bar as deputy public information director.
The Bar announced the hire Monday.
Davis had been special projects coordinator at the Bar, which regulates the state’s attorneys, in 2001-04.
She later was communications director for the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Department of State, then served as press secretary for Attorney General Pam Bondi.
“Most recently, Davis was vice president of public affairs for the Florida Ports Council, the professional association for Florida’s 15 public seaports,” the Bar’s press release said.
Davis’s new title will be deputy director of The Florida Bar Public Information and Bar Services Department.
She will be “second-in-command” to Francine Walker, the Bar’s veteran public information director.
Davis, a Tallahassee native, got her undergraduate degree in English from Florida State University and her law degree from the University of Florida.
Davis is married to criminal defense attorney Ryan Davis and they have two teenage daughters.
