Marco Rubio was on the receiving end of a $250,000 cash infusion from a fundraising committee set up for him and other Senate Republicans.

Keep the Senate Red 2016 transferred $268,885 to Rubio’s re-election campaign between Aug. 10 and Sept. 27, according to the committee’s October quarterly report.

The committee was set up in late July to raise funds for Rubio, as well as Indiana Republican Rep. Todd Young and Nevada Republican Rep. Joe Heck, both of whom are running for Senate this year.

The committee raised about $767,000 during the reporting period and put about $100,000 of that money into Heck’s campaign and another $112,000 into Young’s. The National Republican Senatorial Committee also got about $186,000 from the group.

Keep the Senate Red 2016 had about $22,000 left over at the end of September.

Last quarter, Rubio said he raised $9.6 million for his re-election bid, including money transferred from committees backing him.

Some of that money came in from the Rubio Victory Committee, which moved about $100,000 to his campaign in September.
