Fort Myers business owner Michelle Graham is announcing a bid for House District 79.
Currently held by term-limited Republican Matt Caldwell, HD 79 covers Alva, Buckingham, Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers Shores, North Fort Myers and Olga.
“I have been blessed to be able to raise my two sons here in North Fort Myers and own a business that services all of Southwest Florida,” said Graham, a Republican from North Fort Myers. “Now, it’s time for me to give back to the community that has been so good to my family.”
Graham is president and owner of Siesta Pebble, a family-owned business launched in 1995 that offers premium finish solutions for residential and commercial swimming pools. Siesta Pebble is the only woman-owned company of all the 60 licensed and certified Pebble Tec installers throughout the country.
“As a single mom and business owner, I understand the importance of low taxes, balanced budgets, and a strong, vibrant economy,” she said in a statement Monday. “If I am blessed to represent you, I will be a passionate defender of our conservative values and work every day to protect our individual liberties. I look forward to laying out my platform as I take my campaign door to door to talk directly to voters throughout District 79.
“My campaign will be based on representing you and fighting to protect our community.”
Graham also announced her campaign kickoff celebration will be March 21 at the home of David and Christin Collins.
