No rest for Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday, as his daily agenda shows a schedule packed with planning items in advance of Hurricane Irma‘s track toward the state.

At 6 a.m., the governor will receive a briefing with Division of Emergency Management Director Bryan Koon.

Forty-five minutes later, Scott will make an appearance on CNN’s “New Day.”

At 7, there is a call with state agency heads regarding the storm, followed by another national TV appearance on “Good Morning America.”

Scott will then fly to Marathon where he will visit the Monroe County Emergency Management Office. Officials in the Florida Keys say they expect to announce a mandatory evacuation for visitors starting Wednesday and for residents starting Thursday.

***Update*** Scott has added calls with Sunrise mayor Michael Ryan and Citizens Property Insurance’s Barry Gilway.

11:15 a.m. brings another briefing with Koon, this time at the Miami-Dade Emergency Operations Center. A media availability is planned for after that briefing.

The first draft of Scott’s Wednesday schedule shows a 5:15 p.m. briefing at the State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee. It also includes a round of evening calls with the Florida League of Cities, the Florida Association of Counties, and Florda utility companies.

By then, Scott and the rest of Florida should know more about the probable track of the massive hurricane.
