Justin Sayfie announced Tuesday he had cancelled his upcoming Sept. 14-15 “Sayfie Review Summit” because of Hurricane Irma.
“It was a difficult decision to make but our state’s focus in the coming days should be on disaster response, recovery and relief,” Sayfie wrote in an email.
“There will always be time to talk about the big issues and trends impacting Florida, but now is the time to help each other in the wake of Irma’s aftermath so our communities will emerge even stronger and better,” he said.
This year’s Summit had been scheduled for the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Sayfie said those who signed up to attend “will receive a 100 percent refund of their registration fee.”
“Additionally, anyone who made a room reservation in the Summit hotel block at the Biltmore will have their hotel rooms automatically cancelled by the hotel, and will not be charged for any hotel reservations you may have made,” he added.
“Thank you for your support and understanding of this decision, and for all that you are doing to lead Florida into the future.”
