State Rep. Jeanette Núñez, the GOP nominee for Florida Lieutenant Governor, will spend much of Wednesday courting members of her party in Nassau County.
That morning, three stops await Núñez in Florida’s most northeastern county, beginning 8:00 a.m. at the American Legion Breakfast in Hilliard (37405 Henry Smith Road).
Núñez then heads eastward, with a 10 a.m. sojourn to the Fernandina Beach library (25 W. 4th Street), followed by an 11 a.m. luncheon with the Federated Republican Women of Nassau (2800 Bill Melton Road).
Recently, Núñez was one of 73 Republicans in the state House to sign a letter advocating the U.S. Senate confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
However, Kavanaugh’s confirmation is on pause after what is now multiple charges of alleged sexual assault against him. One instance took place when he was in high school. A second was during college.
Despite the claims, Kavanaugh maintains he has no intention of withdrawing from the confirmation process.
