U.S. Sen. Rick Scott has picked up a couple more subcommittee assignments on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, filling out his U.S. Senate committee and subcommittee seats.

On the Senate Homeland Security Committee Scott will serve on the subcommittees on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management, and Regulatory Affairs and Federal Management.

Scott’s office announced the new assignments for Florida’s freshman senator Thursday, declaring he will focus on keeping Americans safe, reducing government waste, and making Washington work more efficiently.

The Federal Spending Oversight Subcommittee is chaired by U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, the Kentucky Republican. The Regulatory Affairs Subcommittee is chaired by U.S. James Lankford, the Oklahoma Republican.

Earlier announcements laid out Scott’s other subcommittee assignments:

– On the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation he’ll be seated at the Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation and the Internet, the Subcommittee on Science, Oceans, Fisheries, and Weather, the Subcommittee on Security, and the Subcommittee on Transportation and Safety.

– On the Senate Armed Services Committee, hell be seated at the Subcommittee on Airland, the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, and the Subcommittee on Personnel.

– Scott also serves on the Senate Special Committee on Aging and the Senate Committee on the Budget, but neither has subcommittees.
