Miami-Dade Democrats release watch party roundup for 2nd Democratic debate

Democrats will take the stage in Detroit Tuesday night for the second debate of the 2020 presidential cycle. For those in South Florida looking to watch with a crowd, the Miami-Dade Democratic Party has put together a roundup of watch parties taking place during the two-night affair.

Due to the large size of the Democratic field, the Democratic National Committee has been splitting up the debates over the course of two nights. The debate will take place on back-to-back nights on Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday July 31. A total of 10 candidates will debate each night.

The Miami Beach Democratic Club will hold a watch party at 8 p.m. on each night of the debate at Barceloneta restaurant in Miami Beach. You can RSVP on Facebook for the first night here and the second night here.

The Miami Gardens Democratic Club is also hosting a pair of watch parties. Those will take place at 8 p.m. each night at the Stadium Hotel in Miami Gardens.

The Hispanic Democratic Caucus will gather at Vela Mayor Tapas & Bar Tuesday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. You can RSVP on Facebook here.

Elizabeth Warren supporters have a pair of options Tuesday night. Miami for Warren is coordinating two separate events. One will be held at The Bar in Downtown Miami at 7 p.m. You can RSVP here. For those who live near Kendall, you can RSVP here for a 7 p.m. event at Sports Grill Kendall.

Warren will be competing Tuesday night against Bernie Sanders, among others. A group called “Miami for Bernie” will come together at Cafe Creme in North Miami started at 7 p.m. To RSVP on Facebook, click here.

Also on Tuesday, the Greater Homestead Dems, Ron Brown Dems Caucus and Organizing Corps 2020 are joining together for a watch party at Sak Pase Restaurant in Naranja. That event begins at 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, the Puerto Rican Democratic Caucus will host a watch party at Isla del Encanto 2 in Miami. The Facebook page to RSVP can be found here.

The Democratic Black Caucus will hold an event Wednesday at Miriam’s Grill in Miami Gardens at 7 p.m. You can RSVP on Facebook here.

Joe Biden backers will gather at Cadillac Ranch in Kendall starting at 7 p.m. Click here to RSVP on Facebook.

Those supporting Kamala Harris for President can join Women Who Have Something to Say, a group backing Harris’ bid. That Wednesday event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at 77 Sports Bar in Coral Gables. An RSVP page has been set up on Mobilize.

And a group named “South Florida for Tulsi Gabbard” will host an event for Gabbard supporters at Burger & Beer Joint in Downtown Miami beginning at 7:30 p.m. An RSVP page is available on Meetup.

At 8 p.m. the Kendall Democrats will get together Wednesday at Sports Grill in Kendall. Those looking to RSVP can go to this page on Facebook.
