Elaine Sarlo, the regional director for Republican U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio’s Southwest Florida office, has joined Fort Myers-based consulting firm TM Strategic Consulting.
Firm founder Terry Miller praised Sarlo as a veteran campaign and government professional.
“Elaine’s skillset, along with her wealth of experience working on campaigns and as Senator Rubio’s Regional Director, will play an instrumental role as we look to expand our profile across the state of Florida,” Miller said. “I am thrilled to announce that she has joined our team.”
She also won praise from Matt Caldwell, a partner at the firm and a former state representative. Caldwell most recently ran as the Republican nominee for Agriculture Commissioner in 2018.
He said Sarlo would be a crucial addition at TM.
“We are focused on more than just the typical mail pieces and a weekly phone call with our clients.,” Caldwell said. “We endeavor to assist our candidates throughout the entire political and public process, developing strategies for both short-term and long-term goals.
“Elaine will be a valuable addition, with her understanding of both sides of the process and her commitment to our client-focused vision.”
Sarlo, named a “Rising Star” by INFLUENCE Magazine earlier this year, said she would leave Rubio’s office, where she has worked since 2017.
“I am incredibly grateful to have served the greatest member of the U.S. Senate and the constituents of this beautiful state, especially in my hometown I love so much,” she said.
Now, Sarlo heads into a more expressly political endeavor. It’s not completely out of her wheelhouse: She served as president of the University of Central Florida College Republicans, where she regularly appeared on panels about engaging young conservatives and recruiting them into politics.
She plans to bring her skills now into Miller’s shop.
“The innovative strategies and dedication of the firm are second to none,” she said. “Terry and Matt have built a top tier operation and I’m excited to join the team and hit the ground running.”
Sarlo also has strong connections with U.S.-Israel efforts. She served as Vice President of Christians United for Israel in college, and in 2015 was selected by the David Project to learn about the Israel-U.S. alliance during a two-week journey to Israel.

I am looking forward to her long tenure there and how she supports Christian-Judaeo ideals.
