President Joe Biden excoriated “MAGA Republicans, the extreme right and Trumpies” on Monday, pitching his Labor Day appeals to union members he hopes will turn out in force for his party in November.
“The middle class built America,” Biden told a workers’ gathering at park grounds in Milwaukee. “Everybody knows that. But unions built the middle class.”
Later Monday, he was flying to Pittsburgh for the city’s parade — returning to Pennsylvania for the third time in less than a week and just two days after his predecessor, Donald Trump, staged his own rally in the state.
The unofficial start of fall, Labor Day also traditionally starts a political busy season where campaigns scramble to excite voters for Election Day on Nov. 8. That’s when control of the House and Senate, as well some of the country’s top governorships, will be decided.
Trump spoke Saturday night in Wilkes-Barre, near Scranton, where Biden was born. The president made his own Wilkes-Barre trip last week to discuss increasing funding for police, decry GOP criticism of the FBI after the raid on Trump’s Florida estate and to argue that new, bipartisan gun measures can help reduce violent crime.
The crowd jeered as Biden chided Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin for voting against a Democratic-backed measure meant to lower prescription drug prices.
The president also returned to another theme that was a centerpiece of his 2020 campaign, that labor unions boosted the middle class.
Union endorsements helped Biden overcome disastrous early finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire to win the Democratic primary, and eventually the White House. He has since continued to praise labor unions — even though many voters without college degrees remain among Trump’s strongest bloc of supporters.

I have people who live near me literally with Eff Joe Biden flags in their yard and he’s the bad guy for telling them to eff off back? My only question is why it took him so long.
Seems like only yesterday the trump was standing in front of Mt Rushmore calling democrats “leftist fascists” (which in typical trump fashion, makes no sense whatsoever”) – you conservatives just love to play the victim don’t you?

That’s the new Democratic Party strategy is to go negative against your opponent because they don’t have any accomplishments to run on. Instead of bringing up the chaos he has created at the border, out of control crime, the fentanyl crisis, inflation, the price of gas, the economy, his failures in National Security, causing the war in the Ukraine, and the 64% of Americans who disapprove of the way he has run the country he has nothing else to talk about.
This strategy of course doesn’t work so Biden and candidates are desperate. Republican candidates are polling double digits ahead and will win. Impeachments are on the horizon.

Biden has many record accomplishments: inflation reduction, veterans health care, CHIPS technology, gun violence action, restored international leadership damaged by t-Rump, ended US longest war, strengthened Violence Against Women Act, ended forced arbitration for assault and harassment survivors, passed American Rescue Plan, record job growth (All Presidents in history—-including t-Rump), largest free vaccine program, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, climate action, strengthened ACA, 1st Black woman SCOTUS, strengthened Made in America

The fentanyl crisis is laced drugs which actually started under Tump for outlawing LEGAL pain meds for legitimate chronic pain patients. They had no where to turn but illegal drugs because doctors didn’t wan’t to go to prison for prescribing legitimate pain meds. “My body my choice” was the “R’s” claim to fame with the vaccine. Don’t you think Trump would have plastered it all over if there were such incriminating stuff on that laptop before the election??? Biden was just carrying out TRUMP’S WRITTEN deal with the Taliban. If Biden would have not honored Trump’s deal you all would have been screaming. How do you get impeached for legislation or E.O.’s? As noted elsewhere Trump highlighted the particular case of self described white supremacist, neo-nazi Timothy Hale-Cusanelli. I want everyone reading this to google Timothy Hale-Cusanelli and scroll through his online images. Republicans have absolutely no credibility to chastise Biden for calling out the most disturbing Ultra MAGA criminals within the GQP.
