David Shepp, a former legislative aide to Adam Putnam with nearly two decades of political experience, is joining Southern Strategy Group.
Shepp brings more than 18 years of Polk County and Florida legislative experience, including serving four years as legislative assistant to then-state Rep. Adam Putnam.
After managing Putnam’s successful campaign in Florida’s 12th Congressional District in 2000, Shepp co-founded Florida Strategic Group (FSG) in 2001.
FSG specialized in lobbying and consulting services to municipalities, locally owned businesses, statewide trade associations and national corporations. While at FSG, Shepp consulted on a broad range of winning campaigns for local and state candidates.
Shepp is on the boards of the Peace River Center and the Lakeland Chamber’s BusinessVoice.
In his new role in SSG, Shepp will focus on cultivating active relationships at every level of Florida’s legislative structure and within public policymaking.
Southern Strategy Group is the country’s largest lobbying network, with 13 offices nationwide and a staff of 45 lobbyists serving more than 300 advocacy clients.
