Like a bad penny, Joshua Black keeps coming back.

The St. Petersburg Republican filed a challenge on Tuesday against Rep. Dwight Dudley in Pinellas County House District 68, according to the Florida Division of Elections.

Black, a former taxi driver and candidate for Dudley’s seat last year, alienated nearly every GOP member in Tampa Bay, and many voters, by saying Obama was “past impeachment” and calling him to be arrested and hanged for treason.

In a tweet, dated Jan 20, 2014, Black said, “@civilwarcometh: @BrandonMArms @RedNationRising I’m past impeachment. It’s time to arrest and hang him high. http://www.commieblaster.com/ Agreed”

On his campaign website, Black – a one-time street preacher – also said, “Republicans have a serious communication problem. Everything we say sounds like spears.”

First-time candidate Bill Young II defeated Black in last August’s GOP primary with 80% of the vote, later losing to Dudley in the general election.
