‘All-time low’: Ron DeSantis down by 39 points in GOP nomination chase

The Governor has just 17% support.

New polling won’t shake the narrative of trouble in Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign.

The latest national survey from Morning Consult shows him at what a polling memo calls an “all-time low,” with former President Donald Trump leading by nearly 40 points, 56% to 17%.

While DeSantis still sits in second place, those battling for third aren’t too far behind: author Vivek Ramaswamy has 8% support, while former Vice President Mike Pence commands 7% backing. Chris Christie, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott are further back, with 3% each.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, meanwhile, is at 0% in this poll.

For DeSantis, the polling memo tells the story of a candidacy facing existential struggles. His 17% is an “all-time low since Morning Consult began tracking the race in early December.”

The Governor also has lost ground in a hypothetical General Election contest against President Joe Biden: “DeSantis trails Biden by 5 (percentage points) in a hypothetical General Election matchup and hasn’t outperformed the incumbent since March. Trump trails Biden by 1 point, down from a 3-point lead late last month.”

If there is any good news here for DeSantis, it’s that he’s still the top second choice.

“DeSantis is the second choice of 39% of potential GOP Primary voters who are backing Trump, while 42% of the Florida Governor’s supporters view Trump as their top backup option,” the polling memo says. “Pence is the second choice of 14% of Trump supporters and 15% of DeSantis backers, while 16% of Trump and DeSantis supporters have Ramaswamy as their top backup pick.”

Ramaswamy, meanwhile, is catching up with DeSantis in terms of overall favorable numbers. His 52% favorable number and 13% unfavorable is good for +39, just 6 points behind DeSantis (66% to 21%). Trump leads all with a +50, with 74% favorable against 24% unfavorable.

To get these numbers, Morning Consult polled 3,616 potential Republican Primary voters between July 7 and July 9.

Narrative just means “the story of.”

Narrative does not mean “fictional,” as Rhonda would have us believe.

Narratives can be fictional… But this one isn’t!

Rhonda is Rhonda, and that just won’t do. Not even if they stay home and Casey goes everywhere without Rhonda.

Yes. In Ron’s zeal to burnish MAGA “credentials” he pushed too hard, too fast to the radical far right, and with too much anger, bitterness, vengeance and hate.

The ugly narrative is of his and Karen’s own creation. They’ve shown us who they are, and most Americans are repulsed. He has also demonstrated he lacks the temperament and experience to serve as leader of the free world.

Working part-time, I earn almost $15,500 USD every month. I listened to numerous individuals telling me how much money they could earn on the web, so I’m still trying to eb02 figure it out. It did, indeed, become all real, and it completely changed my life. Everyone should try this job right now.

Proff positive the polling is rigged according to the indisputable “Earl Pitts American “Indisputable” math evidence:
In order for “The Ronald” to have fallen by “39%” “The Ronald” would have had to have been up [in the fake polling] at some time in the pasr by “39%”.

It is good to see you are saying that your fascism is indisputable. Big of you to admit. That’s the first step to recovery before things all fall apart.

Don’t wear the fascism moniker too long as a Proud moniker.

America’s Karen’s husband has all the gravitas of the youngest in a swarm of gnats. The question remains what his response to coming back to Florida with his tail between his legs after losing the GQP primary will be. Repent or quadruple down?

Raging Rhonda is going to Florida’s Hemorrhoid for TWO full years after suffering this embarrassment. Next time Florida’s GOP super majority thinks it’s a good idea to … um, wait a sec, the GOP obviously can’t learn and/or won’t learn. They all, like, they just, you know, they all gotta go. GO-P A-WAY

  • All Time Low

    July 12, 2023 at 8:17 am

Being 39 points down isn’t an all time low for Ron DeSantis.

Gov Ron’s all time low was the moment he, Governor of Florida including Orlando where Pulse Nightclub used to be, decided to replace black folks with LGBTQ+ folks as his target of ire and disdain.

Congrats to Ron and the GOP on recognizing black people as being, well, voters, at least, if not actual whole people. But damn, why you gotta hate on somebody. Just because the GOP platform is “You fear others. I fear others. So vote for me. I’ll keep you safe from the others.”

I mean, I get it, fear sells, but damn, the Gov of Florida should have a little more tact than to do what he is doing. He should have a little more concern for his governed.

Pulse Nightclub, Never Forget, But Ron DeSantis Forgot.

…or he didn’t forget and he’s leaning into it because he thinks that will restore a heartbeat to his floundered campaign which I predict will be aborted within 15 weeks but 6 weeks would be much better

As anyone in 2nd or worse place who is wanting to win a presidential primary should ask themselves, what does it look like when the front runner is listed as my VP?

    GOP 2024 ticket
    President Ron DeSantis
    Vice President Donald J Trump

If Ron buys that idea as much as I buy it, Little Dee Santis should either drop out today or maybe drop his balls today.

Ron is at an all time low, but the ocean temperature averages in the Florida Keys are at an all time high, just a hair above 90F. The water. 90F. Yes, that’s the water that’s 90F.

Not to worry, Ron DeSantis will come home to put on those white boots just as soon as the next hurricane hits, but once those white boots go back in the closet, Ron will go back on their road trip to nowhere.

The PGA Tour and LIV tour made up, so no reason Ron and Don cannot be on the same ticket. (The older Don as top of the ticket because he has one term left. Then, 8 years with Ron in charge.)

Hitler and Stalin got along for about two years.

Loser DeSSants will be a wonder to behold in his last two years.
“I’ll show THEM what they have missed. By executive order, Florida police cars are allowed to mount the sidewalk to run down panhandlers and the homeless. THAT will get them out of sight. And stop all those Stepford Karens from constantly pestering about it.”
