Stripping age restrictions set for next Senate stop

StripClub
Club owners could face felony raps for employing performers under the age of 21.

A measure purporting to stop human trafficking by banning people under the age of 21 from working in the adult entertainment sector is slated for another Senate committee stop.

The Appropriations Committee on Criminal and Civil Justice will consider on Tuesday morning Sen. Clay Yarborough’s bill (SB 1690).

If the measure advances, it has one stop ahead before the floor.

Yarborough’s legislation stipulates, after an amendment adopted in committee, that owners would be subject to first-degree misdemeanor charges regarding those under 21 working in the clubs.

If those under 21 dare to bare, the penalty is enhanced to a second-degree felony penalty for the proprietors.

The bill covers work in adult bookstores, adult theaters, special cabaret and unlicensed massage establishments.

The bill analysis notes there historically has been controversy about age restrictions that exclude adults under the age of 21 from adult performance, but that “courts have found that the state has a compelling interest in protecting victims from human trafficking, and that there is often a link between human trafficking and certain adult entertainment establishments.”

This purported link applies to a seminal Jacksonville case: Wacko’s Too, Inc. v. City of Jacksonville, in which Jacksonville has used a licensing scheme to restrict those under the age of 21 from performing as a “permissible way to keep track of licensed performers, secondary to combating human trafficking.”

Yarborough described Jacksonville’s anti-human trafficking law as a model in a previous committee, calling it “good policy for the state as a whole.”

He also framed his bill as cleaning up previous statutory language that lacked an enforcement component, saying it “deletes the prohibition on the employment of persons under 18 years of age for employment involving nudity because it is poorly worded, does not contain a criminal penalty for its violation and is unnecessary due to the broader prohibition that we would infuse.”

The House version (HB 1379), carried by Rep. Carolina Amesty, is moving in committees also and has one stop ahead before the floor.

Human traffickers send 18, 19 & 20yo girls to work at the strip club?

That is not very good Capitalism. The Board of Directors would put a stop to that squandering of valuable resources.

    Thus I call BS

      Good evening my beloved Son/Daughter,
I am preparing to embark on a State-Wide tour of every strip club in Florida to assess the needs of the older strippers who are on the verge of ageing out of the noble honorable and vital profession of stripping/dancing in Florida. These hard workers are deemed vital and critical to Florida’s tourism industry.
The interest of The State is such that we will be assessing how many of the older workers would benifit from the Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure and referring them to a free Butt Lift at State expense to extend their stripping ability by 10 years or more.
The younger ladies in Florida will not be entering the stripping field as in the past, due to this new law excluding minors, and the State will thus be loosing Billions in tourism revenue. So we will be serving the best interests of all Floridians in our project.
We will get a $500.00 finders fee for each stripper over 26 years old which we refer to Florida’s industry saveing Butt Lift process as saggy Butts are NOT what the tourists come to Florida to lust after while “BIG PIMPING AND SPENDINGBL THE CHEESE”. As you know I can spot a “Saggy Butt” within 5 steps of entering the door of these fine establishments.
Would you be willing to accompany me as my assistant? I need someone trustworthy to keep me from too much philandering with all my “Dream MILF STRIPPERS”. As you know I have a “Strong Weakness” for “HOT MILF STRIPPERS”.
You know I can smooth talk almost anybody to doing almost anything and our $500.00 commissions will add up fast. We expect the entire project to take around a year.
      THINK ABOUT IT beloved Son/Daughter,
      Dad

    Update Beloved Son/Daughter,
Again, I left out some vital information, as I was pre-occupied with a butt inspection of an extra hot ebony MlLF, Porsha’s shapley, curvacious, but somewhat celuite pock-marked booty.
    Just business you know.
But I did not explain the finders fee properly:
Its a total of $1000.00 and the $500.00 is what you & your Dad each will be paid for each “Over 26 year old” referral.

Ok pops I’m in. When and where’s our first research facility? Is mama coming? And is Stu coming? Mama can come but Stu shouldn’t really go out in public that much.

        Thank you beloved,
Mama’s comming and Stu is getting some long term treatment in the nervious home under constant lock down until 2032 due to a Judges order, so we wont be worried about “Where The HEII IS Stu” for a few years. Mom and me will split our share of the windfall profits and you will retain your whole money to set you up for the future. I dont have a definate start date but will nail down the financials Monday -Wednesday. The Legislature is aware that we are the only people on the planet who can save all that tourism money for Florida once they ban the younger Hotties from dancing and stripping. I will give you the start date as soon as the Govornment gives it to me.
Your Mom is very happy and confieded with me that she always felt my sometines annoying obsession with Hott Ladies Bootys would one day pay off BigTime for the whole family.
Dont worry about Stu I am sending money to the prison commasary so he can get candy bars and stuff. Hes adjusted well to life in the nervious hospital.
        Thanks Dad

I guess it’s nuts to ask if there’s a grandfather provision? But at least the unemployed 18-21 dancers can go buy assault weapons to vent their rage at the shooting range! What’s next, a ban on Taylor Swift look alike dancers? No woke dancers? Only pregnant rape victims denied abortions can perform? The floor is the limit with these GOP anti-freedom bozos.

Would prefer a grandma provision that says the max age for strippers would be 29.

However, that’s not what the nudie girl dot coms sponsoring this bill wrote for Clay Marlborough to push.

The webcam girl dot coms want the 18 19 and 20 yos working on the webcam, and they’re manipulating their legislative puppets to make that happen.

Vote all GOPs out of office ASAPs. They claim to be protecting young ladies when the sad truth is they’re putting them on a silver platter for better funded buyers.
