Donald Trump has departed for Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the Republican National Convention despite an assassination attempt on Saturday.
Trump took to his Truth Social platform Sunday afternoon and said he flew to Milwaukee Sunday afternoon. He said he felt compelled to go to the city where the convention is being held, even though he suffered an injury to his right ear from a bullet as he was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Saturday evening.
Trump, who was treated and released from a Butler hospital that night, said he is changing his mind about waiting to travel locally to the convention.
“Based on yesterday’s terrible events, I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin and The Republican National Convention by two days. But (I) have just decided that I cannot allow a ‘shooter,’ or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else,” said the former President and presumptive Republican nominee.
As he spoke at the open-air rally, a bullet grazed Trump’s right ear. He was immediately surrounded by U.S. Secret Service agents who rushed him off the stage and into a sport utility vehicle as blood was trickling down his face. After several shots were fired, the former President raised his right arm and clenched his fist to show he was all right.
One spectator at the rally died from the gunshots; two others were severely injured.
The shooter was 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was perched on top of a building where he fired the shots at the rally about 150 yards away. Secret Service agents shot and killed Crooks. Any motive remains unclear.

If he does say “I alone can fix it,” for once he ain’t lying. He is new uniquely positioned to end the USA’s issue with mass shootings. He won’t be able to divulge his new plan until after the election, of course, but he already changed his speech for the purpose of telgraphing his new plan to anyone willing to listen.

Winning the election in November is Donald Trump’s only remaining chance to stay out of prison. Running for the Republican nomination will not alter or change his deplorable policies or legacy. He’ll remain one of the bottom five presidents in American history.

I think the peace accords between Israel, Egypt and Jordan alone put Jimmy way above your bottom 5, not to mention cleansing the presidency after the dishonest stench of Nixon, the unindicted co-conspirator and his cabinet full of burglars.
BTW, Trump looks like Ten Bears from Josey Wales with the war paint and all. He should wear it to give his tradional carnage speech. Too bad the assassin turns out to be a Republican, really ruins the narrative.

Elvis, I hope to see you at the convention pledging the votes of Bumf–k, Idaho for Mr. Trump. I hope security does a better job this time, maybe you could supervise it. Also, when Trump starts talking about America as a failed state remind him of the lyrics of that Lee Greenwood song he put in the Bibles he sells. I think all this negativity about who and what America is caused him to get real confused about who really won in 2020. If he wins in 2024, is he going to lie about it and claim he lost?

One of the things about the picture: Trump only stood up AFTER being informed that the shooter was taken out. A former Navy SEAL friend pointed out that he put the Secret Service at risk – notice how they are protecting him with their bodies?

When the bully getting shot by a disgruntled bullying victim with mom and dad’s AR15 happens to be a politician, suddenly a routine mass shooting is declared an assassination attempt. LOLs. It wasn’t an assassination attempt. It was a regular everyday mass shooting in USA. Everything about it fits the usual bill except this time one of the victims is in a position to do something about it other than being stalked by Majorie Taylor Greene (even though MGD stalking Trump will continue)
Trump alone can do it. Trump can end these mass shooting in his next term and he is going to do it. His post-mass-shooting-that-included-himself change to his RNC speech will telegraph his new anti-2A-nonsense plans, but it will be very carefully worded so as not to alienate his 2A voters before he gets their votes.
