The survey reveals other splits with both GOP voters and the overall electorate.

A national survey shows Gov. Ron DeSantis is the best performing Republican with people who define themselves as “conservatives.”

The YouGov poll shows DeSantis at +78 with the group. That puts him marginally ahead of Vice President JD Vance and Donald Trump Jr. They both sit at +77.

President Donald Trump is at +70 with that demographic.

Among those who are “very conservative,” DeSantis is better situated at +80. But he’s behind Trump and Vance, who both are at +92 with those who put themselves on the hard right.

Meanwhile, older Republican voters seem to like DeSantis more than the younger set. The Governor is at +75 with those GOP registrants 45 and older, but at +58 with voters between 18 and 44.

With voters overall, DeSantis is at 39% approval against 41% disapproval. He’s positive with White voters, as 43% approve of him and 39% do not.

He’s marginally above water in the Northeast, the Midwest and the South with voters overall, at +2, +3 and +1, respectively.

However, DeSantis drags in Western states, where he’s at -12, with 31% approving of him and 43% disapproving.

Overall, the more money voters make, the more likely they are to like DeSantis. He’s at +1 overall with those who make six-figure incomes, but at -1 with those earning between $50,000 and $100,000.

With those earning less than $50,000 a year, DeSantis is at -8 overall.
