It's still early, but is it too late for 3 of Florida's finest?

A new McLaughlin poll is the latest survey to suggest that the post-Donald Trump era won’t see another Florida man as the GOP standard-bearer.

Florida’s Governor, a former Senator and a current Senator add up to less than 10% support between them.

Gov. Ron DeSantis is the best performer of the bunch, with 6% backing in the late April survey. That puts him down 2 points month over month.

The survey sampled 456 Republicans.

DeSantis performs best with Black voters. His 11% support is good for second place behind Vice President JD Vance and Donald Trump Jr.

Despite his role as a jack-of-all-trades in the Trump administration, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also down from March. His 2% support is half of what he had in the previous survey, despite the President floating the Hialeah Republican as a potential 2028 hopeful.

Rubio is strongest with “liberal” Republicans. Among that group, he has 6% support.

Finally, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott continues to struggle in polling with national Republicans, with 1% support.

But there are outliers. Among Republicans who voted for Kamala Harris over Trump, Scott has 4% support. The Naples Republican is also at 3% with Hispanic voters.

All three men are well behind the leading candidates overall. Vance has 25% support, while the current President’s son is at 21%.

Really Gancarski? 100 days into this administration and you write about this? Nikki Fried still will not go out with you as hard as you try.

American’s have quickly woken up to the FACT that the Republican Party is a criminal organization of corrupt elitists who don’t represent the interests of anybody who isn’t a billionaire.
What Trump is doing now will lead to the biggest blowback in political history. Democrats will own the White House for the next 50 years.

Did you mean three of Florida’s finest failures beyond Florida’s borders? Florida style politics and these three losers in particular don’t sell well beyond Florida.

Florida Republicans live in an echo chamber where DeSantis is considered a good governor and that Florida policies are something to emulate.
To anybody outside the bubble, the rest of the world, DeSantis is considered a pathetic joke.
