Wife’s attorney accuses Alan Grayson of intimidation

Rep. Alan Grayson

A divorce lawyer for U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson‘s wife says the congressman is trying to intimidate him.

Attorney Mark Longwell said in a court filing Friday that Grayson had written him an email threatening litigation for comments Longwell made about the divorce proceedings during the week.

Longwell says the email was an attempt to intimidate him and influence his counsel of Grayson’s wife, Lolita.

A trial on whether the Graysons’ marriage was legitimate started earlier this week in an Orlando courtroom. The judge ran out of time, though, so the hearing is to be continued at a later date.

Grayson says his wife was still married to another man when she and the multimillionaire congressman married in 1990 in Virginia.

She says she was divorced at the time.
