Ted Deutch skewers Rick Scott on “climate change” ban

florida environment

Democratic U.S. Rep Ted Deutch of coastal Boca Raton took to social media Thursday with a pointed message to Gov. Rick Scott amid reports that the governor prohibited any mention of the terms “global warming” or “climate change” in state governmental reports and documents:

The Natural Resources Defense Council picked up the tweet with a link to Earth Wire, which added an appraisal from University of Miami geologist Harold Wanless who said, “It’s beyond ludicrous to deny using the term ‘climate change.’ It’s criminal at this point.”

Friday afternoon, he reposted the item with an “@ mention” to former Vice President and climate change activist Al Gore.
