Spend a little time following politics in the Sunshine State, or not living in a cave, and you are well aware of the names Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.
You might also know of “Florida Man,” a dubious title often appearing in negative, often outrageous, headlines on the various shenanigans that take place in our beloved state.
For those who enjoy such things, there is IJReview’s “Florida Man” extension for Google Chrome, which changes Jeb Bush’s and Marco Rubio’s names with the words “Florida Man.”
As a further twist, once installed, the extension will also randomly swap “Florida Man” to either “Jeb Bush” or “Marco Rubio.”
The “Florida Man” meme is so popular — and entertaining — it even has a Twitter account (@_FloridaMan) that chronicles the local strangeness (despite the profile picture of a guy from Indiana):
“Florida Man Calls Sheriff’s Office to Ask for Help Buying Drugs”
“Florida Man Gets Into Brick-Throwing Fight With Identical Twin Brother”
“Florida Man Arrested After Trying to Board Bus Naked”
And so on …
