Red Light Camera revenue is first up. The expectation, as conveyed last week, is that revenue in any given red light camera goes down, as people get used to the light. Some discussion as to what the expenses are of these cameras.
Mousa: “I’d rather overproject than leave it on the table and have somebody use it … .”
Looks like courts, state attorney, and public defender are going to have to come to city council and renegotiate budget enhancements … .
Mousa discussing that the IT budget encompasses maintenance as a “technology cost.” Weinstein: “When they created the budget, it started that way.” When Weinstein was in the State Attorney’s Office, he used his state budget for technology, and he stresses that there is a “back door way for them to get what they need,” and that the chief judge has recourse beyond city budgeting … .
Discussion of a $1.4 million check from Hillwood at Cecil Commerce Center. Mousa: “We need to get that check in the bank. I’m sure the check will go to the Office of Economic Development and there will be pictures and all that … .”
