Conservative Solutions Project, a nonprofit group supporting Marco Rubio, announced Monday it has raised $15.8 million, which will allow it to extend its national cable ad featuring the Florida senator slamming the U.S.-Iran nuclear nuclear negotiations.
That information came via a statement made by Pat Shortridge, the president of the Conservative Solutions Project.
“Due to the overwhelming response to Conservative Solutions Project and our initial advertising campaign in opposition to President Obama’s dangerous nuclear deal with Iran, Conservative Solutions Project has extended our national cable ad buy, with more than $3.3 million spent to date.
“We’re also pleased to announce that, with more than $15.8 million raised already, Conservative Solutions Project is nearly two-thirds of the way to our overall fundraising goal. These funds will allow us to continue the fight to restore our military and our nation’s role in the world, and given the recent news about the nation’s stagnant economy, advocate for conservative solutions to an inefficient tax code and education reform so all Americans have a chance to pursue their dreams.”
Conservative Solutions Project has also been running digital and radio ads that have ran on programs such as the nationally syndicated Sean Hannity Program, which by law the presidential contender cannot coordinate with, also is running radio and digital ads as a part of its first buy. The radio spots are set to run on nationally syndicated radio programs. The super PAC has said that they will continue to run the ads throughout the period that the Senate considers whether to approve or reject Obama’s Iran deal. That deal could be announced sometime later this week.
Conservative Solutions Project is a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization run by J. Warren Tompkins, a veteran South Carolina Republican operative who is also leading the Rubio super PAC Conservative Solutions PAC.
