RSA Consulting Consulting had a productive second quarter of 2015. According to recently filed state records, the Brandon-based firm collected an estimated $300,000 or more from 43 legislative and executive clients between the months of April and June.
The four-person team composed of firm owner Ron Pierce, Natalie King, Sara Gross and Edward Briggs drew major compensation from the health care, education and real estate sectors: H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center contributed up to $39,999 in combined compensation for plaza level and legislative representation, while Associated Builders & Contractors Florida Gulf Coast, Charter School Leaders Florida, and the Northside Mental Health Center in Tampa all tendered nearly $20,000.
Clients from the world of sports and entertainment also figured heavily into the RSA ledger books during Q2: The NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Sports Authority were both among clients that paid up to $9,999 for RSA’s services in the influence trade, as was the Brandon Sports & Aquatic Center and the Sunshine State Athletic Conference.
Incidentally, RSA was in full swing at Tallahassee’s Miller’s Ale House in May, when a number of legislators including Tampa Bay area lawmakers Senate budget chief Tom Lee, Sen. Jack Latvala and Sen. Jeff Brandes were on hand to watch the Lightning play in 2015 Stanley Cup finals during Session.
SRG Technology, Pepin Distributing, Tampa Bay Partnership and ride-hailing firm Uber each contributed up to $19,999 combined as well.
All told, RSA may have made more than $560,000 during the second reporting period of 2015 — by state law, firms report only general ranges of compensation figures, rather than the exact dollar figure unless a client’s fees reach $50,000 or more — assuming each client paid the maximum.
