HD 24 incumbent Republican Paul Renner, who may be the brightest hope to be speaker of the House from Northeast Florida anytime soon, reports raising $8,000 in July.

That money is the first he has raised in the current cycle.

Renner’s support, interestingly, comes largely from PACs: $4,500 of the $8,000 total.

Agents for a Better Florida, Florida Organization of Agents, Financial Reform in Government, Florida Credit Union PAC, and the Nextera Energy PAC all ponied up for Renner’s re-election bid.
