Lewis Longman & Walker took in a solid $260,000 haul last quarter, according to estimates based on recently released lobbyist compensation reports.
The firm pulled down some $135,000 from 24 legislative lobbying clients and around $125,000 from 22 clients for work with members of the Capitol’s executive plaza level and with state regulatory agencies.
A grouping of four entities – Florida Association of Mitigation Bankers, Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Florida Association of Special Districts, and Florida Manufactured Housing Association – topped the firm’s clients list, accounting for approximately $120,000, or nearly half of the firm’s earnings during the April 1 – June 30 reporting period.
Other notable clients included Florida Library Association, Florida Mosquito Control Association, Florida Vacation Rental Managers Association, and Hospice of Citrus County.
Those firms all contributed an estimated $5,000 each to the Lewis Longman & Walker’s balance sheets during Q2.
That diverse client list was managed by the team of Lori Killinger, Terry Lewis, James Linn, Martin Lyon, Thomas Glenn and Michelle Diffenderfer.
State law requires lobbying firms to submit compensation reports quarterly. They are permitted in most cases to simply report an approximate range of client compensation — e.g. $1 – $9,999 – in lieu of the specific dollar amount.
