Email insights: Carols Lopez-Cantera really, really wants you to get his emails

Carlos Lopez-Cantera, Rick Scott

A lot can happen in four weeks; just ask Florida Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, who launched his campaign for the U.S. Senate just one month ago.

In a new email, Lopez-Cantera credits people like you – the donors – for the groundswell of support for his Senate bid over the past month.

He also wants to make sure these supporters keep getting these fundraising emails. Not because they have to, but because they really, really want to!

Momentum is building because voters believe government has grown too big, and Lopez-Cantera wants to put an end to the bureaucracy by empowering people, not the status quo.

“There’s too much Washington in Washington,” he writes.

Nothing opens wallets faster than a good, old-fashioned establishment bashing.

On the other hand, nothing closes wallets faster than an annoying money pitch, and the Lopez-Cantera knows that.

“The last thing we want to do is flood your inbox if you’re not interested,” he adds. “So, this is your chance. To stop receiving updates click here. I hope you stick around.”

For readers who do choose to stick around, Lopez-Cantera offers this challenge, one tailor-made to small-government conservatives.

Those willing to give to his campaign, that is.

It takes “valuable resources” – money, to you and me — to bring his message of smaller, more efficient government to the masses. Lopez-Cantera’s campaign, just weeks old, will push even harder, given the online goal of $5,000 raised before the end of this month.

An audacious objective, to be sure, but again, a lot can happen in a month.
