Max Goodman, deputy chief of staff for Sarasota U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan, is leaving for a role with U.S. Rep. David Jolly’s Senate campaign.

Goodman made the announcement in an email obtained by Florida Politics. Goodman, based in D.C., has worked with Buchanan since 2006, becoming full-time communications director in 2010. Goodman was promoted to senior aide in 2012.

“It’s wild to think that 10 years ago I took the drive from Baltimore to Sarasota to start this journey with Congressman Buchanan,” Goodman said. “I’ll be heading to Florida once again, this time to join Congressman Jolly’s Senate campaign … keep the good times rolling.”
