Republican candidate Neal Dunn visits Tampa Bay this week for a pair of fundraisers to support his bid for Florida’s 2nd Congressional District.

Dunn, a Panama City urologist, faces first-time candidate Mary Thomas in the GOP primary for the seat currently held by Congresswoman Gwen Graham.

On Monday, several local physicians will join Dunn for a 5:30 p.m. reception at the Urology Specialists of West Florida, 2560 Enterprise Road East in Clearwater.

The next day, former House Speaker Will Weatherford will be the featured keynote speaker at a reception for Dunn at the Women’s Group, 2716 West Virginia Avenue in Tampa. Event hosts include Florida Medical Association President Chris Pittman, Ralph Nobo, the FMA immediate past president, and The Women’s Group founder Madelyn Butler. That event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Dunn’s support within the medical community stems from his 25-year practice as a surgeon in North Florida. The U.S. Army veteran served as founding president of the Advanced Urology Institute, a 45-physician practice with more than 400 employees in North Florida. Dunn was also one of the creators of the Panama City Urology Center & the Bay Regional Cancer Center, and he sits on the Governor’s Prostate Cancer Advisory Council and the Florida Blue Physician Advisory Board.

RSVPs for both events are with Tyler Russell at (850) 866-2225 or tyler@nealdunn.com. Online donations for Neal Dunn for Congress can be made at www.NealDunn.com.
